# Recording & transcription

> Attach audio to encounters and stream medical transcripts

## Record an encounter

1. Create or open an encounter.
2. Start recording from the Scribe desktop app.
3. Transcript segments stream and attach to the encounter.

## Troubleshooting

* Ensure Deepgram API key is configured.
* Large audio? Use stable network or upload post-visit.
