# AI Assistant

Latte’s AI Assistant is an agentic co-pilot for clinicians. It uses real patient context and safe tool use to answer questions, flag risks, and propose actions you can approve.

## What it can do

* Drug interaction checks and safety flags
* Search patient records and summarize findings
* Create task suggestions for follow-up actions
* Maintain conversation context across encounters

## How it works

* Messages stream from the agent while tools run in the background.
* Tool calls are recorded and auditable; actions can require explicit approval.
* Integrated with Tasks, Patients, and Encounters via GraphQL.
